11-Azaartemisinin is an antimalarial drug that belongs to the class of amides. It has been shown to be effective against both asexual and sexual forms of malaria in vivo, as well as in vitro studies. 11-Azaartemisinin has also been shown to have anticancer activity against lung fibroblasts. The drug inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting peroxide production, which may be related to its effect on x-ray structures. 11-Azaartemisinin is used in clinical practice for the treatment of cancer and can be used for the prevention and treatment of malaria.
