Description:
Alminoprofen is a pharmaceutical drug that belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, alminoprofen and piroprofen. Alminoprofen has been shown to inhibit the activity of secretory phospholipase A2, an enzyme that promotes the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids. Alminoprofen has demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties in experimental models and has been used as an antirheumatic drug.
