Product Information
- 2-Chloro-3-Nitropyridin-4-Amine
4-Amino-2-chloro-3-nitro pyridine is a carbocyclic nucleoside that can be synthesized from hydrogen chloride and 3,4-diaminopyridine. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of herpes simplex virus type 1 and influenza virus in vitro. 4-Amino-2-chloro-3-nitro pyridine also inhibits the replication of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV) in human cells by blocking reverse transcription, which is an important step in viral replication. 4-Amino-2-chloro-3 nitro pyridine has been shown to have selective reactivity with adenosine residues on RNA, which may account for its antiviral activity.
