Description:

2-(Aminomethyl)-1-N-Boc-pyrrolidine is a receptor ligand that has been shown to bind with high affinity and selectivity to the melatonin MT2 receptor. 2-(Aminomethyl)-1-N-Boc-pyrrolidine has been studied in vivo in rats using microsomal preparations. This compound also binds to other receptors, including the amide, carboxamide, and carboxamide derivatives of the melatonin receptor. It is not known whether this ligand activates these receptors or inhibits them. 2-(Aminomethyl)-1-N-Boc-pyrrolidine has been shown to have a prolonged duration of action in humans and is currently being used as a research tool for studying melatonin receptors.
