N5-(Aminocarbonyl)-L-ornithine has also been shown to be effective against autoimmune disorders and cancer, as well as having diagnostic and prognostic value. This drug has also been shown to inhibit transcriptional regulation by binding to DNA or RNA, inhibit monoclonal antibody production, and modulate fatty acid metabolism.
