Description

Aminoacetonitrile bisulphate is a polymorphic compound that is used in the treatment of cancer. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the production of certain enzymes that are needed for cell division. Aminoacetonitrile bisulphate has also been shown to inhibit anhydrous sodium's ability to cause syncytial virus infection and slow down the growth of rat liver microsomes. This drug targets ligands, including growth factors, which activate acetylcholine receptors on the surface of cells. The carbonyl group on aminoacetonitrile bisulphate binds to these ligands, preventing them from binding to cells and activating their receptors. Osteolathyrism is a condition caused by excessive acetylcholine receptor activation and may be prevented by using this drug.
