Anthranilamide is a biologically active compound that has been studied as a model system for studying the ryanodine receptor. It binds to the ryanodine receptor, preventing calcium from entering cells and triggering muscle contractions. Anthranilamide also inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the enzyme that produces hydrogen peroxide, which is an antimicrobial agent in the body. This molecule can also bind to oligosaccharides and tautomers, and it may have an anti-inflammatory effect due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
