Description:

2-Amino-4,5-dimethoxybenzonitrile is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that binds to the ATP binding site of the enzyme. It inhibits epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and other protein kinases by competitively inhibiting ATP binding. 2-Amino-4,5-dimethoxybenzonitrile has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by preventing the activation of phospholipase A2. This drug also inhibits aminopeptidase N and aminopeptidase M in vitro. The most common functional group is a methyl group that is attached to an aromatic ring.
