Product Information
N-Acetyl-L-leucylglycyl-N6-acetyl-N-(4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-7-yl)-L-lysinamide is a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. HDAC inhibitors are used as an antiatherosclerotic and antiinflammatory treatment for autoimmune diseases and cancer. In this study, it was found that N6-(4'-methylspiro[chroman]-2'-indanyl)lysine (MSI) has potent activity against the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. MSI also inhibits methyltransferases, which are enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways. It is also a chemical biology tool for studying protein polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
