5-Amino-4-hydroxy-1,3-benzenedisulfonic acid is a carboxylate that is hydrophobic and has an acidic nature. It is used as a synthetic intermediate in the production of various antibiotics, including carbapenems. 5-Amino-4-hydroxy-1,3-benzenedisulfonic acid binds to chemokine receptors and can inhibit the activation of T cells. This drug also inhibits the release of proinflammatory cytokines such as ILs and ILs, which may be related to its ability to inhibit the activity of Alzheimer 's disease. 5-Amino-4-hydroxybenzene sulfonic acid has been shown to be stereoselective and can induce apoptosis in leukemia cells.
