H-Arg-pNA 2HCl is an activating agent that is used to activate coagulation factors. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation, and has been shown to inhibit the reaction rate of the coagulation cascade in vitro by binding to the regulatory subunit of activated protein C. This drug also affects thrombocytopenia by inhibiting the activation of platelets. H-Arg-pNA 2HCl is also a potential therapeutic agent for conditions such as hypercoagulability and thrombotic disorders, where it may have antiplatelet effects.
