Z-Asp(OtBu)-OSu is a peptide that binds to the δ opioid receptor. It has been shown that this peptide has potent analgesic activity in diptera. Z-Asp(OtBu)-OSu also exhibits high affinity for the δ opioid receptor, with a Kd of 1.7 nM and a Bmax of 4.0 pmol/mg protein. The cyclic peptide sequence consists of two amino acid residues and has been synthesized by solid-phase synthesis. The sequences were determined by Edman degradation and mass spectrometry analysis.
