Description:
(2S,3R)-3-Amino-2-hydroxy-4-phenylbutanoic acid hydrochloride (AAHB) is a synthetic amino acid that inhibits protein synthesis. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. AAHB is also an inhibitor of fatty acid synthase, which is required for tumor cell growth. AAHB has been shown to be effective against colorectal carcinoma and lymphomas.
