4-Amino-2-trifluoromethylpyridine is a hydrophobic probe that can be used to study the interaction of proteins. It has been shown to bind to the hematological and myeloid protein, which is important for the regulation of cell growth. The mutant form of 4-Amino-2-trifluoromethylpyridine was found to have a higher affinity for these proteins than the wild type. This compound has shown some toxicity in animal studies, but it has not been studied in humans. The clinical data on this drug is limited because it has only been tested in patients with hematological malignancies who have relapsed after treatment with other drugs. The interactions between 4-Amino-2-trifluoromethylpyridine and other drugs are not well understood at this time.
