- 4-Methyloxazol-2-Amine
2-Amino-4-methyloxazole is a byproduct of the process of making 2,3,5,6-tetra-O-benzylideneaminoimidazole in which it can be formed from the evaporation of water and formaldehyde. It is also a product of the reaction of morpholine with acetaldehyde. The crystallography of this chemical has been studied extensively and was found to exist as two different enantiomers. In animals, 2-Amino-4-methyloxazole causes inflammatory pain when injected into the skin. This chemical has been shown to bind to cb2 cannabinoid receptors in mice and humans. This chemical is an imine that can undergo oxidation or reduction reactions and can react with peroxide to form an aldehyde. 2 Amino-4 methyloxazole is also used in organic chemistry as a pyrazole derivative that reacts with alkyl halides such as eth
