Description

5-Amino-1H-tetrazole is a pharmaceutical preparation that is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the cell wall and disrupting its integrity. This drug is chemically stable in aqueous solution and can be administered orally or intravenously. 5-Amino-1H-tetrazole has shown antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococci, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Enterococcus faecalis, but not gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 5-Amino-1H-tetrazole also displays broad spectrum activity against fungi and yeast in vitro.
