Product Information
- Ac-L-Arg-NH2 Acetate
N-alpha-Acetyl-L-arginine amide acetate salt is an acceptor molecule that accepts nitric oxide (NO) from the donor molecule, arginine. This reaction is thermodynamically favorable and a dilution of the reactants yields a solution of lower NO concentration. The nitrosated product can be purified by adding sodium trifluoroacetate to the solution. Nitrous acid, which is produced during the reaction, can be removed using n-butyl alcohol. Nitrite ions and solutes are also present in this solution as products of the reaction.
