Description:

Acetyl-L-methionine methyl ester is a reactive molecule that has been shown to undergo thermal denaturation. The chemical is shown to interact with cellular processes, such as DNA repair, and can be used to study radiation-induced damage in cells. Acetyl-L-methionine methyl ester has been studied using kinetic data and it has been found to have a high reactivity towards sulfoxide. Acetyl-L-methionine methyl ester also binds to ligands, such as buffers and n-butyl alcohol. It may also be used as a biomimetic for the viscosity of sulfur trifluoride.
