DL-alpha-Aminosuberic acid is a monoclonal antibody that binds to prostate cancer cells and is used as a cross-linking agent. It has been shown to have potential as a biomarker for prostate cancer in vivo, and it has been shown to be effective in tumor xenografts. DL-alpha-Aminosuberic acid is the analog of alpha-aminobutyric acid, which has low expression levels in prostate cancer cells. This antibody can be used for diagnosis of prostate cancer by labeling with an isotope such as 111In, which can be detected using positron emission tomography (PET) or single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
