L-Asparagine amide hydrochloride is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit the binding of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) to its receptor molecule. L-Asparagine amide hydrochloride is also known as an acid with a pKa of 3.5. It reacts with trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in a hydrogen bond and forms an amide. L-Asparagine amide hydrochloride can be used for wastewater treatment, as it has been found to bind fatty acids and remove them from water. L-Asparagine amide hydrochloride can also be used for the production of monoclonal antibodies, which are used to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases.
