Description

2-Amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol is a chemical substance, which is an ester of ethyl alcohol and 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol. The compound has been shown to be active against Gram positive bacteria, but not against Gram negative bacteria or yeast. It has been used in the treatment of infections caused by strains that are resistant to penicillin and erythromycin. 2-Amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol can be absorbed through the skin and has a low toxicity for animals, including foetuses. This substance also has pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of propofol.
