Description:
Azepan-4-ol is a potent inhibitor of dehydrogenases. It has been shown to be a potent competitive inhibitor of the sulfonamide 11β-hydroxsteroid dehydrogenase and the azepine dehydrogenase type. Azepan-4-ol is also an inhibitor of the dehydrogenases involved in the metabolism of steroids, such as cortisol and testosterone.
