Product Information
- Azetidine-2-carboxylic acid amide
- Azetidine-2-Carboxylic acid amide
- 2-Azetidinecarboxamide
Azetidine-2-carboxamide is a compound that belongs to the class of enantiopure compounds. It has potent antitumor activity, which is due to its ability to inhibit mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways in cells. Azetidine-2-carboxamide inhibits cancer cell proliferation and induces apoptosis by inhibiting the activation of MAPKs and phosphatidylinositol 3′ kinase (PI3K)/Akt signaling pathways. This drug also modifies the cell membrane permeability and prevents the synthesis of proteins involved in cell division, leading to inhibition of cancer growth. Azetidine-2-carboxamide can be used as an anticancer agent for breast, lung, prostate, colon, head and neck cancers.
