Description

Azetidin-2-ylmethanamine is a potent antitumor agent that has been shown to have anticancer activity against leukemia, lymphoma, and melanoma. It is a five-membered heterocycle with an unsymmetrical conformation. The compound has been shown to be active in the presence of chloride ions and aluminium ions. This compound also reacts with hydrogen peroxide to form azetidin-2-ylmethanol. Azetidin-2-ylmethanamine is highly soluble in tetrahydrofuran and can be easily expressed from the solid state by chemical reaction or by heat treatment at elevated temperatures.
