S-Acetylmercaptosuccinic anhydride (SAMSA) is a molecule that is involved in the immune response. It interacts with antibodies, causing a response to occur. SAMSA has been shown to be a protein target of hepatitis B virus and HIV-1. SAMSA can be used as the antigen for monoclonal antibodies in diagnostic methods. The antibody binds to the SAMSA molecule, which then reacts with an enzyme substrate, resulting in a detectable signal. Samsa can also be used as part of an analytical method for measuring human serum or biological samples for creatine kinase activity. This method can also be used to measure logistic regression coefficients and other molecules such as creatinine, uric acid, and bilirubin.
