Product Information

Name:
p-Azidobenzoylhydrazide
Synonyms:
  • ABH
Description:

p-Azidobenzoylhydrazide is a basic protein that is used in the manufacture of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has been shown to be an antigenic determinant for mouse monoclonal antibody production and also induces cell lysis. p-Azidobenzoylhydrazide has been found to be present in human serum and can induce autoimmune diseases in mice. It also activates toll-like receptors on macrophages, which are cells that are involved in the immune system. The caproic acid group of molecules is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primer for DNA amplification studies on cancer tissues. Research has shown that transcriptional regulation by p-azidobenzoylhydrazide is influenced by blood group antigens and blood type.
