Product Information
- 3-(4-Chlorophenyl)isoxazol-5-amine
5-Amino-3-(4-chlorophenyl)isoxazole (5AI) is a putative target for cancer treatment. This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of colo-205 cells and other cancer cell lines in vitro, as well as to induce cytotoxicity in human cancer cells. 5AI has been shown to act on topoisomerase II and topoisomerase IV, which are enzymes that maintain the integrity of DNA. It also inhibits DNA synthesis by inhibiting RNA polymerase II activity and promotes apoptosis by activating caspases. The molecular docking simulations suggest that 5AI may bind to the active site of topoisomerase II with high affinity, leading to inhibition of the enzyme's function.
