Product Information
- 4-amino-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione
4-Amino-5-(4-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol is a potentiodynamic polarization agent that inhibits cancer cell growth by interacting with the proteins and DNA of the cells. It reacts with hydrochloric acid to form an aldehyde. The aldehyde then reacts with the amine groups on the protein or DNA to form a covalent bond. This type of bonding leads to inhibition of cancer cell growth and may be used as an anticancer drug. 4-Amino-5-(4-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol has been shown to inhibit the binding of ligands to their receptors in several techniques including adsorption equilibrium, microscopy, and voltammetry techniques.
