Ammonium tetrafluoroborate has a higher chemical stability than other salts of tetrafluoroborate, such as ammonium hexafluorophosphate and ammonium hexafluoroarsenate. Ammonium tetrafluoroborate is used to make the dinucleotide phosphate, which is an important component in DNA synthesis.
