Description:
5-Amino-4-chloro-3-methylisoxazole (5ACMI) is a ligand that binds to the endothelin receptor. It can bind to either of the two subtypes of the endothelin receptor, ETB or ET A . 5ACMI has been shown to inhibit connective tissue proliferation and stimulate collagen synthesis in vitro. The binding affinity of 5ACMI for ETB receptors is much higher than that for ET A receptors.
