Description:

(3R)-(+)-3-Aminopyrrolidine is a hydrogen bond acceptor. It has been shown to be an apoptotic cell death inducer and pro-inflammatory cytokine inhibitor. This compound has been shown to bind with high affinity to the human protein cgmp-dependent protein kinase II, which is involved in the regulation of intracellular targets including chemokines, cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases, and ion channels. (3R)-(+)-3-Aminopyrrolidine has potent antagonist activity against cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) dependent protein kinase II, which leads to its ability to inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. In addition, this compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models of inflammatory diseases such as colitis.
