Product Information
- Carbonic Acid Allyl Phenyl Ester
- Phenyl Prop-2-En-1-Yl Carbonate
Allyl phenyl carbonate is a fluorinated organic solvent that is used in the manufacturing of polycarbonates and other plastics. This chemical compound has a high boiling point and low vapor pressure, which makes it ideal for use as a reaction vessel. Allyl phenyl carbonate can also be used as an additive to increase the viscosity of polymers or to act as a cross-linking agent. In addition, allyl phenyl carbonate reacts with piperidinium salts to form polycarbonates and can be used as a polymerization initiator. Allyl phenyl carbonate can also be synthesized from allyl carbonate and hydrogen fluoride in the presence of phosphazene.
