Description:

3-Amino-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid is an intercalating agent that can absorb ultraviolet light. It has been shown to be stable at temperatures of up to 100 degrees Celsius for long periods, and it has the ability to form nanosheets with layered structures. 3-Amino-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid can be used as a UV absorber in water treatment and purification systems, as well as in the production of reactive dyes or pigments. This molecule is also used in the coprecipitation of layered anions such as lead sulfate, chromium oxide, and vanadium oxide.
