Description

Acetaldoxime is a chemical compound that is used as a fast-acting antidote for poisoning by organophosphate nerve agents. Acetaldoxime binds to the phosphorylcholine of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine and relieving muscle paralysis.
