1-Acetoxy-2-fluorobenzene is a dispersive that is used in the synthesis of vinylene, diastereomer, and propionyl amide. This compound also has an inhibitory effect on the reduction of 1,4-dihydropyridine. It is synthesized by the reaction of acetyl chloride with 2-fluoroaniline. The product is then hydrolyzed to give 1-acetoxy-2,2'-difluorobenzene. 1-Acetoxy-2,2'-difluorobenzene can be used as a precursor for aspirin and other related compounds. This compound has been shown to have neuroprotective effects and may inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. The mechanism of action is not well understood but may be due to its ability to inhibit platelet aggregation or reduce inflammation.
