Product Information

Name:
4-Amino-3-fluorobenzamide
Description:

4-Amino-3-fluorobenzamide is a drug that inhibits the proliferation of human cancer cells. It may act by interfering with the activation of protein kinase C, which is involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. 4-Amino-3-fluorobenzamide has been shown to selectively inhibit the growth of cancer cells and not normal cells in culture. This drug also has anticancer activity against squamous cell carcinoma and other types of human cancer cells. The molecular mechanisms underlying its anti-proliferative effects are still unknown but may involve interference with pathways such as those involving protein kinase C, or with the synthesis or processing of RNA or DNA, which are required for cellular division.
