2-Amino-4-Fluoro-Benzenemethanol (2AFB) is a diaacid that has been synthesized as a potential long-acting neuroleptic. It has also been shown to have antihistamine effects and may be used in the treatment of allergic reactions, asthma, and hay fever. 2AFB is an intermediate in the synthesis of other drugs such as pentoxifylline. The reactivity of 2AFB is dependent on the solvent. Solutions of this substance are long-acting, stable, and soluble in chloroform and toluene.
