Product Information
- Benzonitrile, 2-Amino-4,5-Difluoro-
2-Amino-4,5-difluorobenzonitrile is an intermediate in the synthesis of benzoxazinones. It is a heteroaromatic compound that has been shown to react with amines and ammonium acetate in diluting acid to produce ammonium 2-amino-4,5-difluorobenzonitrile. The reaction temperature for this process is between 0-100°C and the product can be purified by recrystallization or distillation.
2-Amino-4,5-difluorobenzonitrile reacts with halides at temperatures ranging from −20°C to 100°C. This reaction produces the corresponding acid halide, which can then be reacted with alcohols or phenols to form new heterocycles. The diluent for this reaction can be any organic solvent such as ether, benzene, or chloroform.
