Product Information
- 2(1H)-quinolinone, 7-amino-4-(trifluoromethyl)-
7-Amino-4-trifluoromethyl-2-quinolinone is a fluorescent probe that can be used to measure the rate of cellular protein synthesis. It is synthesized by reacting 7-amino-4-trifluoromethylquinoline with a hydrazine derivative, which modifies the fluorescence properties of 7-aminotrifluoromethylquinoline. The reaction product is then reacted with a hydrazine derivative to modify the fluorescence properties again. The product is then incubated in order to react with proteins and determine the rate of protein synthesis.
