Description:

Allyl 1,1,2,3,3,3-hexafluoropropyl ether is a monomer that is used in the production of polymers. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of -19 °C and has a low viscosity and high vapor pressure. Allyl 1,1,2,3,3,3-hexafluoropropyl ether is also used as an additive to plastics to improve their durability and strength. This substance can be synthesized from allyl alcohol and acrylonitrile in the presence of strong acids or bases. The polymerization process results in copolymers with glycidyl methacrylate or methyl methacrylate.
