3-Amino-2,4-Dichloro-5-Fluorobenzoic Acid is a bactericidal agent that can be prepared by the nitration of benzoic acid. This intermediate is used in the preparation of quinolone and benzoic acid derivatives. 3-Amino-2,4-Dichloro-5-Fluorobenzoic Acid has been shown to have bactericidal activities against a wide range of bacteria, including Gram positive and negative bacteria. It also has activity against mycobacteria and some strains of Enterococcus. 3-Amino-2,4-Dichloro-5-Fluorobenzoic Acid is used as an intermediate for other compounds.
