Description

2-Amino-3-fluoro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is a crosslinking agent that is used to introduce silicone into polymers. It is also used as a coupling agent in the chemical method of introducing silicon into polymers. This additive has been shown to be effective as a catalyst and an additive in the production of graphene oxide. 2-Amino-3-fluoro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine has been shown to be able to react with silanes, organotins, and other organic compounds that contain reactive groups such as hydroxyls, amino groups, carboxylic acids, or thiols. This chemical can be added to polymers, plastics, rubbers, and composites for various purposes.
