Product Information
- acetamide, N-(3-acetylphenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoro-
3-Acetylphenyl trifluoroacetamide (3APTA) is a drug that is used for the treatment of metabolic disorders and blood culture. This drug has been shown to be an inhibitor of influenza A virus, in particular against pandemic H1N1 influenza. 3APTA binds to fatty acids, which are involved in the transport rate of the drug, and blocks their conversion into ketones. 3APTA has a high resistance against oxidation catalysts, such as slurry acid analysis or oxidation catalyst. The gene product is involved in protein synthesis and wild-type virus synthesis.
