Product Information
- 4-amino-5-fluoro-1-methylpyrimidin-2(1H)-one
4-Amino-5-Fluoro-1-Methyl-2(1H)-Pyrimidinone is a monomer that is used in the production of nucleosides and nucleotides. It has been shown to inhibit the methyltransferase enzymes, which are involved in the process of DNA replication. This molecule can be modified by a number of reactions such as ultraviolet absorption or modifications and tautomeric shifts. 4-Amino-5-Fluoro-1-Methyl-2(1H)-Pyrimidinone is also a heterodimer with two hydrogen bonds and five hydrogen bonds with neighbouring molecules. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria that are resistant to 5 fluorocytosine, an antibiotic used for the treatment of tuberculosis.
