2-Amino-3-(6-Fluoro-1H-Indol-3-Yl)Propanoic Acid is a synthetic product that is used in the synthesis of other compounds. It is a substrate for tryptophan synthase and a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme. 2-Amino-3-(6-Fluoro-1H-Indol-3-Yl)Propanoic Acid inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication. The high frequency of human activity has been shown using a patch clamp technique on human erythrocytes.
