Description

3-Amino-2,6-piperidinedione 2,2,2-Trifluoroacetate is a pharmacological drug that has been shown to have an anti-tumor effect. It inhibits tumor necrosis factor (TNF) production by binding to the receptor on T cells and blocking the interaction with its ligand. 3-Amino-2,6-piperidinedione 2,2,2-Trifluoroacetate is also an analog of glutarimide which has been shown to inhibit the growth of some tumors in vitro. This drug inhibits TNF production as well as other functions of T cells such as cytokine secretion or activation of cytotoxic T cells.
