Regorafenib is a potent and selective inhibitor of the protein kinases Raf and Rb. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of multiple kinases, including BRAF, KIT, PDGFRA, AXL, and MET. This drug inhibits the growth of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo by inducing apoptosis through inhibition of these kinases. Regorafenib also has an acidic pH (pH 3), which may be due to formic acid or other unknown carboxylic acids. The preparative method for regorafenib involves an initial lc-ms/ms analysis with acetonitrile as a mobile phase to optimize the chromatographic conditions for preparative separation.
