(2R)-2-Amino-3-(2-Bromo-2-Chloro-1,1-Difluoroethyl)Sulfanylpropanoic Acid is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandin E 2 . It is used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. (2R)-2-Amino-3-(2-Bromo-2-Chloro-1,1-Difluoroethyl)Sulfanylpropanoic Acid binds to the peroxisome proliferator activator receptor alpha and inhibits the activity of membrane transporters and cell receptors. This drug also blocks the synthesis of proteins involved in inflammation by inhibiting cytochrome P450 enzymes.
