Product Information
- 4-Isobutoxyaniline
- Benzenamine, 4-(2-methylpropoxy)-
4-Isobutoxy-phenylamine is a synthetic analog of the antibiotic 4-hydroxy-phenylamine. It has been shown to be ancillary in the treatment of tuberculosis. The modifications of this drug are methoxy and introducing groups, which allow it to be more reactive with zn2+ ions than the natural compound. This increased reactivity leads to increased bactericidal efficiencies and improved stepwise synthesis.
