Description:
3-Chloro-4-ethoxyphenyl)amine is a heterocyclic compound that is structurally related to the 3-chloro-4-fluoroaniline. It has been shown that microwave irradiation of 3-chloro-4-fluoroaniline with a microwave reactor led to the formation of 3-chloro-4-(3,5,5,8,8,11,11 hexamethyltridecyl)phenyl)amine. The mechanism of this reaction was found to be mediated by fluorine and it was shown that the reaction was not dependent on the number of electron pairs in the ring.
